Community Resiliency

Strengthen local preparedness and emergency readiness by deploying decentralized communication nodes that empower everyone.

What is Meshtastic?

Meshtastic is an open-source, off-grid messaging system that uses low-power LoRa radios instead of cellular networks or the internet. Your phone connects to a Meshtastic device via Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or USB, and the device sends messages to nearby nodes; those nodes automatically rebroadcast them, creating a mesh that extends communication over multiple hops. It’s mainly designed for short text and data messages, with range depending heavily on terrain, antennas, and node placement

Step One: Node Setup

Purchase or build a meshtastic compatible device. A pre-built pre-flashed device that can be purchased off of eBay or Amazon for first time users.

Step Two: Connect to the Mesh
